The Crate Official Opening Party Saturday, April 19th

The Crate
Official Opening Party
Saturday, April 19th

Wrecords By Monkey is hosting their official opening party for their new storefront The Crate on Saturday, April 19th from 12 to 9pm in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn. They will be displaying their 2014 collection as well as live silkscreening on reclaimed vinyl. Stop by, check it out, and grab a free beer while listening to DJ sets from APSPDR+ and Silent Rider. There will be an exclusive after party from 7 to 9pm featuring DJ Codes. Limited tickets for the after party are available for free and can be picked up at the store starting at noon that day.

The Crate is a vinyl record and reclaimed product store and production studio. Nestled on the edge of East Williamsburg, it is housed in a converted factory with exposed brick and glass block windows. The store will house Wrecords By Monkey products for purchase, such as vinyl record jewelry, accessories, and home & technology products. Also, the store will offer thousands of curated records available for $1, as well as a niche section of vinyls from current New-York based musicians.

APSPDR+ has worked on remixes featuring Taylor Swift, Zedd and more. The diverse soundscapes he uses causes a kaleidoscopic visual that can only be matched by a very long, strange trip on some exceedingly heady acid. Silent Rider's mysterious aura and lyrical intensity is an innovative force to be reckoned. Their mixture of thoughtfully arranged synths, creative harmonies and huge hooks have garnered key press and are pushing them to the forefront of the indie and electronic world. DJ Codes  His ingenious sample manipulation and a decade of experience on the decks has lead to popularity among dance music vets and newcomers alike. Laced with big ass kick drums and a tight low end, Codes' sound has developed into a Brooklyn Bounce style all his own.
